This year is shaping up to be very expensive indeed:

Dead Space 2
Portal 2
Duke Nukem Forever
Red Faction: Armageddon
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Mass Effect 3
Gears of War 3
Assassin's Creed III (?)

With the exception of Skyrim and Homefront, all of those games are must-buys for me. Damn.

Skyrim isn't a must buy?

also, reach grifball is lulzy, played it today with a full team and we're currently on a win streak :D

So far, no I haven't been able to play any objective games because I'm still locked out of them for being too low levelled. HQ and Ground War are all I ever played in Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 and while I haven't unlocked HQ yet, Ground War seems to have a 99% weighting towards to Deathmatch over Domination so I haven't been able to try that out either.

The movement speed still feels like I'm permanently stuck in crouch mode. Maybe once I finally get my FAMAS and a perk set-up that I like, I'll enjoy it more.

But that's after I finish New Vegas.

Yeh I felt the same exact way actually when I first got the game.

I hated having to unlock the other modes, and the beginning guns blew compared to the FAMAS.

It started picking up around 17ish IIRC. I would make sure to get equipment after the FAMAS. The motion sensor is OP ;D

As for the multiplayer mode, I'm really not impressed with it. It's slow. Really, really slow. Seriously, does anyone get the feeling Treyarch accidentally left the speed setting on 0.5x and haven't got around to turning it back up to normal pace yet?

Nope. Play an objective gametype/not hardcore? HQ is uber frantic a lot of the time and SnD is somewhat slower but definitely the most fulfilling and intense
