This only works most of the time with broadband.

Open a new tab and type "about:config" into the adress bar. Press enter.
Search for "network.http.pipelining". Alter it's entry to "True"
Search for "network.http.proxy.pipelining". Alter it's entry to "True"
Search for "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests". Set it to any value. The value you set it to equals the number of pages it will load at once.
Then right-click anywhere and select "New->Integrer". Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set it's value to 0. This value equals the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

Ta-Da! Your firefox is now faster!
Bye Bye MT. It was a good time, but I am going to try to get a Life. Maybe I'll be back, maybe I won't. I am sure most won't miss me and will be happy for me to go <3

This is such an old trick for Firefox. This trick allows Firefox to recieve requests faster or something.

the only other thing is that it leeches server resources which is why it was disabled in the first place. if you don't care tough go ahead

Tried it and it didn't make any visible change on my Firefox's loading speed. Meh.

Fasterfox is really fast.

I think the speed improvement (or regression) depends on the network itself.

But fasterfox still makes firefox faster XD (thats all that matters) also if you uh use um prefetching settings (i dunno where they are) it may help to make pages load faster

Really? Fasterfox should increase only your webpage load speed but your downloading speed wont be changed. Fasterfox should be increasing your webpage speed even on a slower internet.
