lol. who needs a program? last week i deleted 15gigs of stuff on my comp. its a lot more safer that way rather than having a program do it for you.

I've used this for about a week now and I already love the results :)

After 16 runs and 16930 files deleted, I've saved 1.5 GB.

'Cuz I worked hard on some of mine.

you guys don't need a program to do it all for you, just uninstall programs you don't need, do a disk cleanup, remove windows components you don't need, and if there is anything left after you delete all that stuff, do a search and delete all of it (assuming that you don't need it)

P.S. Can anyone help me on MS? I've had to restart a couple times, I'm a lvl 10 magician in Windia, and if anyone could please help me, my name is XxShamalanxX, and if you can please post to me or another way of communicating. :(

easy way to get rid of old old application data is to view hidden files, and go into windows, find the program that you got rid of, because uninstalling it doesnt take it all away.

Try setting the Quick Setup to 'Standard CleanUp!'. mush1o.gif

Disk clean up gives similar results, but still, its good. And it doesn't lag my PC like CCleaner did. If you're scared, do a custom clean up, and you'll be fine

I just figured this would be helpful.
I downloaded the CleanUp! software onto my laptop, ran the program, and restarted my computer. The piece of crap deleted some of my windows files! Now the wireless internet doesn't work, pictures won't show, toolbars have been deleted, control panel has exploded, and the laptop is beyond destroyed. I will probably have to do a system restore in order for it to ever work again.
I warn you to not use this project. This deletion of vital files wasnt random, so it had to be the program that did this. Luckily it was only half a year of information I'm losing, but that's still a lot of stuff to reinstall, etc.
RIP Lappy December, 25, 2005.

Next time that happens pop out your hard drive and hook it up to another computer. If things go right you can read the second hard drive and move all your data before a system restore.
