The optimum map for Coolie Zombie training, is quite far away from its nearest city, El Nath, so you must prepare accordingly.
As with all maps in the El Nath and El Nath Dungeon, excluding the Zakum area and the city itself, are COLD! That means about every 3 seconds, you will lose 10 HP.
There are two items that prevent this:
Red Bean Porridge: 5 minutes/ 400 mesos
(need confirmation on name): 30 minutes/ 2400 mesos
These can both be bought at the El Nath potion shop.
The rate of cold protection and price is consistent for both items, so it doesn't matter which one you choose to buy.
The second thing you should consider buying is ANTIDOTES. Yes, ANTIDOTES, the green potion with a leaf in it (or something).
Coolies can and will use thier long-range poison breath to poison you. The actual attack doesn't do too much damage but the poison will deal 15 damage per second for 30 seconds (?), which when you sum it up is no small number.
When I travel to Coolies, I usually buy:
100 Sorcerer Elixirs (1500 each)
100 White Potions (320 each)
80 Antidotes (200 each)
40 Red Bean Porridges (400 each)
Altogether, this costs about 210k.
Now, i have to tell you how I measure time at Coolies. Rather than minutes, I measure time in Zombie's Lost Teeth, which is the Coolies etc drop. The above set of potions will last me enough time to collect about 800 teeth.
That's all for Stripedy Preparations, now you have to go through the trouble of making it there in one piece.
Getting to the Map
As I said before, the map is pretty far away from El Nath. The place you want to train is Forest of Dead Trees IV (4). It usually takes me 10~15 minutes to walk there. If you have Dead Mine Return Scrolls, then skip this part. This is a complete guide on how to travel there.
Map 1: El Nath
This is the city where you start. Duh. Walk all the way to the right and enter the portal.
Map 2: Watch out for Icy Path I
Here's where the cold begins. Use your Red Bean Porridge here.
Advance to the right past Jr Yetis up a gentle slope and enter the portal.
Map 3: Watch out for Icy Path II
A mirror image of the earlier map, follow the slope down past Hectors and Jr Yetis and into the portal.
Map 4: Cold Field I
A flat field with some platforms jutting out of the ground. Walk to the right avoiding Hectors and White Fangs and enter the portal.
Map 5: Cold Field II
There's a hidden street to The Crown Flyer, but you're not heading there. Go to the upper right portal.
Map 6: Ice Valley I
Here's where the road starts to go up. Way up. Steer clear of the Yetis and go through the portal at the top.
Map 7: Ice Valley II
Watch out! Yeti and Pepes do a lot of damage! An easy method of getting past them is to change channel, which will bring you to the top. The NPC Glibber sells potions here. Climb up a little further, and talk to the NPC who guards the door, and say "Yes".
Map 8: Sharp Cliff I
Thankfully, there aren't any Yeti and Pepes here, but there are Dark Yetis. Climb past them and go up into the portal.
Map 9: Sharp Cliff II
Forecast shows for light Dark Jr Yetis, and scattered Dark Pepes, and a chance of Dark Yetis. Go past them and jump into the portal.
Map 10: Wolf Territory I
Uh oh, there are Werewolves here! If you are an I/L wizard or mage, you can dispatch of them easily, but otherwise try to avoid them. Go into the top portal.
Map 11: Wolf Territory II
Quite almost exactly the same as the preceding map.
Map 12: Dangerous Cliff
This place looks the same as the above map, but is inhabited by Dark Yeti and Pepe. This deadly duo can do quite a lot of damage, so avoid if possible. Advance through the top portal.
Maps 13-15: Wolf Territories III-V
These maps are generally identical, so I decided to put them all into 1 part. There are Lycanthropes here, so watch out for those.
Maps 16-18: Forest of Dead Trees I-III
Ah! Here we are! Zombies! But this isnt the right place for us. Keep going until you reach...
Map 17: Forest of Dead Trees IV
Taduh!! We're here!
Correct Training Cycle
Well, now that we're here, lets get down to business.
Ahem! The map is split into 3 sections:
The Left Ground
The Right Ground
These are where you can mob zombies up and kill them. This is my training cycle:
This is a flash animation i made to represent my training cycle.
Make sure you have the Adobe Flash Player plugin to watch it. As you can see, it was a rush job and i made it in about 20 minutes. But you can get the idea of it. Just pretend the 1 zombie in the animation is multiplied by 6.
Well, that's what I do when I train there.
I hope this guide helped you!
