I tried Photoshop CS3 and Eclipse, and both just slowed down my computer to the point where I had to uninstall them >_>;

PS CS3 is just as fast (if not faster) than CS2, but Eclipse is slow indeed. I'm considering going back to Crimson.

I used NotePad to do my HTML and then test it on the W3Schools tryit things to see what it looks like and such.

I try and do my best of graphics in MS Paint lol, But mainly get other friends and helpers to do such things XD.

When I get my new PC or go to college Im hoping to learn CSS and PHP through DreamWeaver aswell XD.

I use FireFox, Paint(For casual image editting), GIMP(For powerful image editting), Game Maker, and of course MapleStory.

Although MS Word and Powerpoint will be used a lot during the school year.

Ahh, I keep changing editors... I just tried out Aptana, it's based on Eclipse so it hogs memory like hell, but it's web-oriented, so it's not bloated with junk.

Now I just gotta wait until they release a new version with code folding. ;P

By curiosity, what font do you guys use to code? I use ProFont, it's a small pixel font designed for programmers for readability at tiny sizes.

As long as it's monospace, I use whatever the editor default is.

Right now, Aptana's PHP support isn't fully complete yet, but it's quite close. A couple of features are missing, such as code folding for PHP, but it's primarily a Web IDE, which ecapsulates (X)HTML, CSS, JS (and consequently, AJAX), ASP and naturally, PHP. I'm quite happy with it, and looking forward to future versions.

Oh, and you should really try ProFont. It's small and surprisingly legible.

Meh I tried it for a bit and I think I prefer the old font (Courier New). I dunno, the spacing didn't feel right.

Oh, by the way, if anyone is trying to learn ASP.NET or C#, Lutz Roeder's Reflector is a very good tool to have. Its search and decompile features pretty much leave MSDN on the dust.

Whoop. Bump.

I've switched to Zend Studio, because it's fairly light on memory, and yet it's so complete in its PHP support. Duh. mush1n.gif

I also changed font, I use Proggy Square now, as ProFont gave me headaches when using it for too long. ;p

Blender has to be my favorite 3D modeling suite. It's small and lightweight, it supports advanced modeling tools, beautiful rendering, great animation system, tons of physics simulations, including fluids, great compositing... heck, all this great stuff you'd think would cost a fortune...

...and it's free.

Notepad, Notepad++
Paint.NET
XAMPP (too lazy to install Apache/PHP/MySQL separately...)

Browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera (though, in practice, I'm too lazy to test in more than one browser)

Aptana Studio looks neat, I'll try it out tomorrow.

I'm still a newbie to web development, so I've still got a long way to go before I can actually do anything worthwhile.

XAMPP is good.

And last time I tried, Aptana's PHP support was still somewhat mediocre.
