If it is, and if you know how to run such a server, I'd love it for you to get ahold of me because I have a pretty cool idea to get some people interested in this game again. The only thing is.. with all the 2x exp stuff out, and the way Nexon turned a game that was great because of its simplicity and tried to turn it into something complex.. it's just not as fun as it used to be.
Now that my questions have been answered, I'm excited to say TespiaMS is going to happen. See the next pages for discussion on the subject, and my thread in Official Members seeking old MT members.
Let's do this!
Didn't get it rolling the first time; but can we make it happen?

but then again, Nexon has lost almost all of us as members of the game because we don't appreciate how they run the game. Too NX-whorey now. It used to be an accomplishment to hit level 50, now it takes a day of leaching.
Basically what I would like to do is get a server running that starts off the way Beta did, and then expand with the community. EXP rates would be pretty similar to what MS offers currently, and NX would be very, VERY limited to hairstyles, eyes, emoticons, stuff like that. This way, if you're an archer.. someone will know you're an archer.
Simplicity is what made MS so fun because it made it more of a social game than anything. Adding all the stuff they did, they tried to make a simple concept too complex. It's a 2D sidescroller.

Because MT wants us all to go to a bar for a meetup.
A bar? Too classy. What we need to do is go to the supermarket, grab ourselves three crates of their cheapest, strongest alcohol and crash an Under 12's baseball game and hurl drunken abuse at the players whilst trying to score with their moms.
That's how the internet does it.

i think that the best thing is to go to the mushroom kingdom until lvl 35 then do the ludi pq until you get the glasses then you can stop and do the carnival pq and try to get the spielgman necklace that way you get items and good exp btw sometimes you will lose or people will leave so that means that you wont get 35 wins straight meaning you can actually get some decent exp and lvling. When your on level 50 you have speilgmans necklace try and get the other necklace (my friend told me there is not sure tho lol not lvl 50 yet) and then sell the speilgman (lol again i dont have speilgman since i didnt get the glasses yet) this way you are making money getting items and getting a deccent exp. there is no con to this plan except you might have to wait in ludi pq since there might not be enough people happy mapling!
what are you smoking

Primarily Tubgirl builds trust among the people. It grows stonger every day.
This looks like you wanted to start a new paragraph, but where is the supporting evidence?
in the lives of all.
Over-generalization weakens your argument. No exceptions.
The simple matters:
- Too much usage of the word "it." "It" is very ambiguous; you want to be as concise as possible.
- Assume the audience has no prior knowledge of your topic.
- "In conclusion" is a very bland and generic way to introduce into your conclusion.
- The quotation in the conclusion does not make a big enough impact to belong there. End your essay in your own words.
- A severe lack of transitions is causing your paper to jump around topics and have no focus.
- Are you praising your composition in the last paragraph?

Yes, the time when a panlid was the greatest drop ever. A panlid could ruin friendships and make you a star.
Anyhow, I'd probably play, although I must say, Arans are ridiculously fun. The new maps and the quests which actually help you level up are also a big plus. Everything else though, is less than desirable.
Hah! I remember in, like, seventh grade I found a pan lid from a green mushroom in HHG and I thought I was the coolest kid ever at school.
What a loser..
Anyway, I'm glad I stumbled upon this topic. MDZ (my boi) took the thoughts right out of my head that I could never really get around to putting into a real statement - this game was great because of its SIMPLICITY. After yet another attempt to go back to MS recently (thanks, nostalgia), I knew there was something different and devaluing but I just couldn't realize what it was, even though it was right in front of my face. It is far too complex.
You can't tell what class or level anyone really is anymore because they are covered with NX - you used to be able to identify someone as a 'pro' or 'noob' by their items, which held such high value
There are things you see that just don't make any real sense, like characters running around on giant animals. Whatever happened to begging for an Assassin to party you for haste?
How many party quests are there now, anyway? Kerning used to be THE place to be, with all 2x flocking to the sewers to quickly level by clicking Lakelis (and those infamous ACers!).
It used to be so much more of a SOCIAL game, which was was actually made it great. Remember when you could go to CH1 Henesys or the Sauna to strike up a conversation when you're fed up with grinding?
Anyway.. I could go on and on. Excuse my rambling. The fact of the matter is, TespiaMS would be a GREAT project to start for people who see the new MS like I do (and I know I am not even close to alone). It's highly doubtful it could ever match Beta or the first year or so of oMS. It may not even work to begin with. But I know that I would definitely love to become a part of something like that again, even though I've pretty much thrown video games out of my life. If we get enough great MT people to join, this would be something I wouldn't be able to resist.

I first started playing Maplestory on 10-10-2007. Contrary to popular belief, my Chief Bandit was not my first character. My first character never even made the first job advancement. I was very new to the game back then, and thought something along the lines of "I should keep all my stats balanced out" and I did just that, and couldn't advance to warrior like I wanted to. My first character's name was Palm211, on Windia. Deleted soon after making my CB, which is why my CB is named xPalm211x, which is level 76 at the time of writing this.
After I did some research on Maplestory and learned about the jobs, I decided to make a bandit. So I followed a guide. Before I had joined Mapletip, which I think I was around level 40 at the time, I was kind of a noob. I ran around begging for mesos because I had seen other people do it and thought it was a normal thing in the MS community. After I joined Mapletip, I slowly became more and more involved in the Mapletip community, losing my noobishness once and for all. Then, I joined MTD Broa, I hung out with members on occasion. MTD was dead at the time. And I got bored of my bandit, and made a Crossbowman, Slimeknight2, which remains level 50 to this day. Then, things changed and WindHobbes resigned from leading MTD Broa, to join an all-bowman guild. I applied for leader of MTD Broa, and after some time, got accepted.
Since then, more things have happened, including several times I had quit the game for reasons I concealed to Mapletip because they were too personal. Since then, I play again now, and I have increased overall activity in the guild, to the point I have had to expand the guild to 35 slots, with donations from Meteor Summoner. I play a Gunslinger now for the most part, which was level 52 at the time of writing this.
So yes, had things gone differently, I would have played Maplestory as a Warrior in Windia, not a Gunslinger in Broa.
