MapleStory will be going through a scheduled game update on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009.

This update involves all game servers, and will last for approximately 7 hours.

- Time : Thursday, October 22nd, 0:00 am ~ 7:00 am PDT
(Thursday, October 22nd, 3:00 am ~ 10:00 pm EDT)

The following will be updated:
* Halloween Events
* Version Up Content
* Gachapon Box Event
* Gachapon Update
* Level Up Event
* Cash Shop Update:

Villian Mask (Face Accessory)
Charm of the Undead (Weapon Cover)
Ghost Weapon (Weapon Cover)
Devil Horns (Hat)

The website will be available through out the update.

Ugh, they used "JPG", not "jpg" as the extension again so click the titles to see what they'll look like in your Equip Inventory. Or look at the original.

ed2~ I've heard of few reports of after-patch problems in-game, so backup before you patch just in case.</sub>

What's are Gachapon boxes?

They're boxes you open with keys from the Cash Shop that contain a random set of items (a list is sometimes provided) that range from crap to average to rare stuff. It's not a wide range of stuff like regular Gacha and it costs like 500 NX to open.

Usually when these boxes are out, there's a deflation of items. :X

One of the prizes last Event was the PAC. For most of the playing population (or at least the ones I know) it's simply another inventory cluttering event. Maybe they won't drop from everything this time...

Oh right, the boxes themselves drop from monsters. The keys needed to open them are the ones you need NX for.

I might be having a moment of blondness, but I don't think 3:00 am ~ 10:00 pm is 7 hours. But it's not unusual for Nexon to mess up with times, if memory serves.

The trick is to realize they will get only one of the times correct, sometimes it's the Pacific, others the Eastern. And occasionally you have to combine the two if you want the correct day...

Hoping this year's Halloween events are better than last years (which was mostly PQ stuff that I don't do... )

I want to see if they'll still give out the Mansion key and open up the vault again...
