OK guys, here's my question.
i have the common problem where:

Problem: I get a black screen when I launch MapleStory, but I can still hear the background music.

The given solution was: Launch Setup.exe from Start-> All Programs-> WIZET-> MapleStorySEA

except... it didn't work.

maybe the problem is i'm running maple story via parallels on a mac notebook.
i DO have windowsXP installed, i just still have this problem.

what do i do?
is there any way to fix this?
any ideas would be really appreciated!!
thanks guys!

yeah, my mac has boot camp. do you think that would make it work?
i'm of the opinion that parallels and bootcamp are like the same thing right?
just parallels allows you to run both at the same time.. instead of restarting your computer every time you want to switch.

and yes, im pretty sure i have the latest version of directX.

ok... um... i think u have those but... try this:

Ok go to your Nexon folder... either in C:/Nexon or C:/Program Files/Nexon... then you click on Maplestory and then you should scroll down until you find an icon that looks like:

[the icon will not have the windows shield... the thing with red, blue, yellow and green]
then you should answer the questions and things... it will give you directions on what to do...

try that

i don't know if you remember, i said in my first post that i had tried that..
and it didn't work..
any idea why?

ok, so
what happens is, when i first click on the setup thing,
it asks me if i can see maplestory clearly.
when i start the game, i cant see anything at all, so i click "no"
then it says "we have found one frequency modes that allows you to play maple story. we'll now test.. blah blah"
so i say ok
but all that shows up is the black screen again, now with a white box taking up about 2/3s of the middle of the screen. after 10 seconds, it goes back, and it asks me, "where you able to see the title of maple story on your monitor"
i didn't so i click "no"
so it says "we weren't able to find the right range of frequency"

does that just mean it's impossible for me to play maplestory? mush1d.gif

oh, btw, the folder it's in is "Wizet"..
not "Nexon"
does that mean i have the wrong version? or is it the same thing.
