Hello ladies and gentlemen. It's iamflip here with an important notice. In recent days, a malicious hacker has attacked guilds left and right in all GMS servers, both well-known and not so well-known. As we speak, Bera is being attacked literally by this hacker. Just a few days ago, he's hit Bellocan and Khaini too. It's only a matter of time before Scania, Broa, and Windia are hit too.

I know that many of you treat the guild that you're in like a second buddy list. Thus I urge all of you to be vigilant for the sake of your guild by keeping in contact with your Jr. Master and Master and any of your guild buddies, taking SSes of your guild list, and setting up emergency funds to reestablish the guild as soon as possible. In addition, stay away from busy areas, esp. the FM, since people would visit the FM usually have a high percentage of the guild they are in hacked. If you think that you've caused your guild to be at risk, leave ASAP but keep in touch with anyone in the guild.

Nexon, if you're reading this notice, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for letting this continue. This hack is ripping Global MapleStory apart, and if you don't act soon, GMS might never recover after this.

Thank you for the information, I'll keep an eye on it now. I'm from Windia and, as far as I know, nothing has happened there yet but... Oh my, if they hack my guild we're screwed cause we've spent all the money we had expanding it... T_T

Anyway, do you know what do they do or how do they hack the guilds? Cause I don't understand... It's not like when they hack an account, that they waste your money, change your password and stuff... How can they hack a guild and what happens to the hacked guild?

What happens, apparently, is that they somehow get into the guild when someone is in the same map as them and disbands it entirely the same way a GM (Game Master) would, meaning that even the name vanishes for good. They don't use someone else's account for it or anything, they just do it themselves.

Your best bet would be to expel everyone from the guild except the Master account and stay off the Master account until this blows over. They can even get in if the guild is full.

It's a scary thing indeed.

My guild has already been hacked, and we had almost all level 100+'s and, we had 70 people in it. That was a huge loss for the master of that guild. Same with all the other guilds with tons of expansions.

Yeah, of course. I meant that it will be easier to try to control the members or warn them, since we're not too many.

Here's something you can do:

/guildinfo

SS that and send it to your leader, it shows all of the guild members so if you get struck, you CAN rebuild.

We're already taking precautions in eMS with the high level guilds especially concerned about this. Whatever happens over in gMS has a nasty habit of cropping up in eMS as well. I guess time will tell as to whether we log on to our guilds disbanded or not.

The problem is, so many people are saying different things: that they need to see the leader to kick them, that they can force into a full guild if it isn't expanded to 100 and is full, that they can force into a fully expanded guild anyway even without slots... I don't know who to believe. All I'm doing is making sure that enough people are aware of the situation in the event of this happening in eMS.

KF is safe. CD and Karen are in the process of wiping out their guild list until this passes through. Kat's doing the same thing (I hope) for her guild.

Anyways, been hanging in Windia for a little while today, watching lazlojet dropping guilds in seconds...it's kinda crazy. He was sitting in FM ch 1 Entrance, but people with guilds kept coming in to intentionally get disbanded. His script does seem to work at random; Both of my guildless chars got an 'unknown guild request error', which I think is his script trying to join my nonexistent guild.

Started in Khaini...Spread to Scania...Went to Windia to kill 1 guild...Went to Bellocon + Broa to annihilate more guilds. TODAY they've started on Bera + Windia...Mardia and Kradia are next
