[Mouse Keys] Click Godly Fast- The legit way!
A tutorial on Mouse Keys.

Mouse Keys is a feature found on most Operating Systems to increase accessibility to users. Mouse Keys lets you use your Keyboard [The Num Pad, specifically] to function as your mouse.

Relating to MapleStory, Mouse Keys clicks much faster than your regular mouse, and it also produces much less lag when clicking. It's a great and dependable resource for Party Questing.

Mouse Keys is not against Nexons Terms of Service. Mouse Keys is neither a third party program, an illegal program, nor a bot.

Setting up Mouse Keys on Windows XP«:

Step 1:
Hit 'Start' and select 'Control Panel'

Step 2: In Category View or Classic View, select 'Accessibility Options'.

Step 3: Once in Accessibility Options, click the 'Mouse' tab, and then checkmark the box that says "Use MouseKeys". Then click "Settings".

Step 4: Once in 'Settings', you need to set up the Mouse Keys options to look like this:

Step 5: Hit 'Ok', and then hit 'Apply'.

Finished: Now you can use Mouse Keys. Hit " 'Alt' + 'Shift' " to enable Mouse Keys, and then make sure "Num Lock" is turned Off.

The Num Pad:
Windows XP uses the Num Pad to control the mouse. On a standard keyboard, the Num pad is usually on the Right side, and it looks a bit like a calculator.

However, my Laptop does not have a separate Num Pad. The Num Pad is located on keys:
7 8 9 0
U I O P
J K L ;
M , . /

I have to hold the key "Fn" to use the Num Pad. If your Keyboard is similar, you'll notice the num pad is anoted in a dark blue color.

Mouse Key Functions:
+] Simulates a Double Left click
5] Simulates a Single Left Click

+ and 5 are the important keys for MapleStory.

1] Moves the mouse pointer 'Down-Left'
2] Moves the mouse pointer 'Down'
3] Moves the mouse pointer 'Down-Right'
4] Moves the mouse pointer 'Left'
6] Moves the mouse pointer 'Right'
7] Moves the mouse pointer 'Up-Left'
8] Moves the mouse pointer 'Up'
9] Moves the mouse pointer 'Up-Right'
0] N/A
*] Switches + and 5 to "right click"

Use in Party Quests:
Of course you'll want to use Double Click [+] for Party Questing, as it clicks twice as fast as single click. Here's some time trials I did for Mouse Keys [On average]:

Single Click: 360 clicks/Minute, 6 clicks/Second
Double Click: 840clicks/Minute, 14 clicks/Second

Also if you use + and 5 in conjuction, you can triple click

Triple Click: 1061 clicks/Minute, 18 clicks/Second

I have not tried Triple Clicking in-game
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And you're all set. Go take the world of Party Questing by storm. mush1o.gif

But when I tried this on my laptop, Fn+/, and held enter for the dialog box that came up, it stopped double clicking. Do I have to keep mashing the key to keep double clicking?

I've never been able to hold down the button, I always 'mash'. Plus, holding it down would seem to much like an auto-clicker, so it doesn't bother me.

I guess I'll mash then. xD

How the hell is this guide a 'copy' of your's? This one shows exactly what to do. Your's just tells us how it's done, which Posah already did in another topic. Don't accuse anything of being a 'copy' when it's almost completely different. Č.Č

...almost completely different? The only difference is pretty much how detailed Mr. Poser Mobile made his guide. thumbsup.gif

I think Renji was the first to discover the Mouse Keys trick, so perhaps he should be recognized for that?

I do not see why it matters. It's not like I'm attributed with Mouse Keys discovery, nor do I care who is/was. I only wrote a guide because there was not one.

Simple as that.

Oh woah. It sure is hella fast, but it also depends on how fast you can press the keys.

I hardly think he needs to be accredited for "discovering" the Mouse Keys. That option has been on computers for years. All he did was bring it to attention.

Anyway. Back on topic. Great guide. I love the layout and its simple design.

All you need to do is take the box that opens and drag the part that says "ok" over the npc and then use the singe click function. That closes the box so you don't have to keep hitting enter. If you can hold down the single click button then do that as it will not require you to change buttons.

Hey guys, something weird happened. I tried using the Mouse Keys, but now the Single Click and Double Click are working as if they were the right mouse button. weirdface7ut.gif And no, my mouse is working just as regular, didn't change the config.

I know of no way to reset this besides restarting.
